Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ has become a huge success in box office spinning big profits for the producers and distributors. Even after a week of release, the film is running house packed in many theatres. The actor isn’t basking glory in success of this film as he gets ready for the next release ‘Nanban’ which has just couple of months to hit screens.

Everyone seems to have assumed that the film is an exact replica of ‘3 Idiots’, but it has lots of changes and new things different from the original version. Director Shankar and Madhan Karky have written dialogues and the film has 109 scenes.

The film is now getting ready for the post production works that are likely to be completed by next month. The audio launch is scheduled to be held in December while the film’s theatrical release for the festive occasion of Pongal.

Shedding lights on the film, actor Vijay says, “Nanban is completely different from 3 Idiots though the plot is same. The film has some strong messages pertaining to the educational system and will appeal to the middle class audiences.”

Karthi’s forthcoming movie Saguni not only takes potshot at the current political affairs but also on the corruption. Well, the movie will particularly throw light on corporate lobbyist Nira Radia’s role in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

It is said that director Shankar Dayal has included Nira Radia’s 2G episode in Saguni. The story reveals the nexus between politician and businessmen. Sources add that how the alleged deals were struck with journalists, telecom companies will be shown in the forthcoming Tamil movie.

‘Kolaveri di…’ track from the forthcoming movie 3 has become a trend setting song. The quirky lyrics, which is mixture of Tamil and English words, and catchy tune have not only attracted the Kollywood audience but also non-Tamil listeners. Well, Dhanush, who is overwhelmed by the unexpected response, has called the track a ‘soup’ number.

Dhanush says that ‘Kolaveri di…’ idea is fresh and he would like to call it as a ‘soup song for ‘soup guys’. Explaining why he called it by that name, the Tamil actor claims that the number talks about love failure and it is being crooned by a boy, who has failed in his relationship. He further adds that the words chosen for the song are commonly used by the youths, which have helped to relate them to the song.

The buzz around Kollywood is that Karthi is signing his next film with debutant director Shankar Dayal. Now it has been officially confirmed and the the film has been titled as Saguni.

Earlier, Karthi in an interview to a newspaper said: “Shankar’s story was very impressive. My characterisation will also be quiet neat. It will be a satire on society and the script has several interesting elements to make it entertaining.”

Shankar Dayal take care of Saguni story, screenplay, dialogue and direction. GV Prakash scores music for the film while cinematography is done by PG Muthiah, art by Rajeevan and editing by Antony. The heroine and rest of the cast is expected to finalised soon and an official statement will be announced soon.

Saguni is being produced under the banner Team Warrior Pictures and the shooting for the film will start around end of this month.
